175 West Jackson Office
Building
As the general contractor for the buildout of the management office
at 175 West Jackson Blvd, Chicago Illinois, Knudsen Construction,
Inc. provided its own Carpentry and Millwork services, which included
framing, drywall and taping new office walls, as well as installation
of the acoustical ceiling, new doors, frames and hardware. 175 West
Jackson is a frequent job location for KCI to which we are grateful
for. KCI has proven, by our frequent presence there, to be a skilled
contractor both in the realm of managing and carpentry.
316 Men’s Club Knudsen Construction, Inc. served as the
general contractor for the buildout of the 316 Men’s Club at
the 175 West Jackson location. There our Carpentry and Millwork services
were put to use and we were responsible for the rough and finish carpentry
and installation of drywall and the acoustical ceiling. The 316 Men’s
Club now provides a relaxing escape from the hectic city atmosphere
while still being conveniently located in the middle of it thanks,
in part, to KCI’s exceptional work.
Temple Beth El Knudsen Construction, Inc. served as the
general contractor for the renovation of the chapel, and the build
out of the entire lower level, including classrooms and the meeting
room at Temple Beth-El located in Northbrook Illinois. KCI’s
ability to self perform the services of rough carpentry, drywall and
acoustical ceiling coupled with our general contracting and project
management services ensured that this job was done efficiently and
accurately.
Richard Bennett Custom
Tailors Knudsen Construction, Inc. served as the
general contractor for the 2,860 sq. ft. buildout at 175 West Jackson
Blvd., Chicago Illinois, which now houses Richard Bennett Custom Tailors.
With KCI’s administration, new HVAC systems were provided, and
in addition to overseeing this job, KCI provided their own Carpentry
and Millwork services which included installation of framing and drywall
at this location. This job highlights KCI’s value engineering
capabilities, where we achieved cost efficiency while maintaining
high quality. KCI’s Millwork team worked extensively with the
owner to utilize existing casework and display areas which we then
retrofitted and modified to fit into the design space that you see
today. As a result of KCI’s management and self-performed work,
Richard Bennett Custom Tailors is a beautiful example of KCI’s
ingenuity and flexibility which is necessary to adapt and meet a client’s
wishes.
Kelly’s Flowershop Knudsen Construction, Inc. served as the
general contractor for the buildout of Kelly’s Flowershop located
at 175 West Jackson. KCI’s management supervised HVAC installation,
fire protection, electrical and plumbing work. In addition to our
general contracting services we self-performed the rough carpentry,
framing, drywall and acoustical ceiling. KCI’s adaptability
is exemplified in our assistance in the design and fabrication of
the transaction counter at Kelly’s Flowershop.
Qdoba Mexican Grill Knudsen Construction, Inc. was a natural
choice as the general contractor of the 175 West Jackson Blvd. location
of Qdoba Mexican Grill. Being familiar with the ins and outs of the
building and our extensive experience with the city of Chicago’s
requirements provided KCI with the ability to alleviate a large amount
of stress, while also offering suggestions as to the best way to approach
different tasks. Because of KCI’s familiarity with the city
of Chicago and the job location, our input on the design and installation
of the fire and sprinkler systems, electrical, HVAC and plumbing was
of great significance to all parties in this job. As a restaurant
job, code compliance is a major factor when connecting equipment,
however, KCI’s experience with other restaurants in the past
proved this to be a very capable task for KCI. In addition to our
supervision, we also self-performed the drywall, acoustical ceiling
and framing at Qdoba, as well as the installation of soap, lid and
towel dispensers, table and countertops, coat hooks and knife holders.
KCI also coordinated the installation of the security systems and
maintained responsibility for the security of the job until its completion.
As a result of KCI’s supervision, input and performed work,
Qdoba Mexican Grill is a proud representation of KCI’s abilities
in a variety of different roles.
Wow Bao Knudsen Construction, Inc. served as the
general contractor for the Wow Bao restaurant buildout at 175 West
Jackson Blvd. As the general contractor, KCI was responsible for the
coordination of everything from demolition and drywall to ceilings
and kitchen equipment. Under KCI’s supervision the Wow Bao space
was completed accurately and efficiently. In addition to our supervision,
our Millwork team fabricated and installed their Corian countertops
as well as the register counter and gate. Our self-performed services
were also utilized in the drywall, framing, doors, hardware and acoustical
ceiling installation. As this was a restaurant space, it was an asset
for KCI to have the ability to install items such as hoods and fans.
KCI shows through different locations, especially restaurants where
there are specific items required, our versatility and adaptability
from one job to the next.
